Prevention Services

Substance use Prevention is a proactive effort focused on reducing substance use, especially among youth, through education, awareness, and evidence-based community strategies.

Efforts have increasingly shifted to local and county levels, allowing communities to tailor prevention plans based on their specific needs. This localized approach fosters effective behavioral and cultural change, improving the overall health and safety of Florida’s citizens.

CFBHN works with key partners—Prevention Providers and Coalitions—who use the federal SAMHSA Strategic Prevention Framework to guide their community-specific efforts.

To get involved or learn more, individuals are encouraged to explore local Prevention Providers and Prevention Coalitions serving their area.
